"This Apple ID has been locked for security reasons" when using "Sign-In with Apple" in Firefox 124.0.2

I am being diverted to a genuine Apple web page that states "This Apple ID has been locked for security reasons" when trying to use "Sign-In with Apple" in FireFox 124.0.2 in MacOS 14.4.1

My Apple ID is NOT locked! I can "Sign in with Apple" using Safari ( which uses TouchID), and I can view my Apple ID account on my iPhone and my Mac without any issues. I can go to appleid.apple.com and view all my data. Clearly my Apple ID is NOT locked.

Any ideas why this would be happening?
