Reducing column width in Notes

How do you reduce the column width in a table in the Notes application?

Apple Notes - Tables lose formatting in iOS26 Prior to iOS26 all of the rows in my tables in Apple Notes were formatted correctly and neatly. Now, it doesn't matter whether it's an existing table or a new table of data - all of the rows are expanded - and as one scrolls down further into the table, the expansion of the row size becomes even more prevalent. To the point that it's unreadable/unusable. There's no way to correct this either. [Edited by Moderator]

Can I stop notes from formatting my text? I want to start numbered items with, say, "3) " but every time I type the space, Notes automatically indents the number & changes it to "3. " Is there any way to stop it doing that?
