How do I download iOS 16 on my iPhone?

Your tag line says that you have an iPhone 6s. You can upgrade that phone as far as the latest release of iOS 15. You cannot install iOS 16 or higher on it. So, if you have that iPhone, the question to "How do I download iOS 16 would be that you don't.

To download and install iOS 16, you will need an iPhone 8 or higher model.

If you still have the iPhone 6s listed in your profile, that model cannot handle iOS 16.
