HDMI-Adapter doesn’t work on Amazon Prime

hi! I discovered this problem yesterday while on holiday. I had downloaded movies on Prime that didn’t work from iPad to TV with HDMI. But when I deleted them and watch stream they finally worked. Regards Emelie

For those that have posted what they have tried, but were still unsuccessful, thanks as this will help others with this issue not to waste any time or effort trying the same thing.

Same problem. Amazon says it’s Apple fault, Apple say it’s Amazon’s. Very frustrating. Netflix, bbc, Disney all work fine though.

I have been using a genuine apple lightning to HDMI adapter for years with amazon prime and now (since iphone upgrade to version 17.4.1) it won't play on the TV. The phone just stops playing the show as soon as it is plugged in to the adapter and sits there spinning it's wheels as though it is buffering.

I tried reloading the Prime Video App, turning phone off and on but no good.

Can Apple please fix this issue as it has happened only since the latest version.

Same issue here. You tube and Apple tv work but Prime does not after the update.

Not going to be buying any more connectors and adaptors until there is an answer to this.

I’m pretty sure it’s the DMR installed by Amazon Prime and not an Apple issue.

I have a similar problem. Prime Video and Netflix actually play but I only get sound. BBC iPlayer works ok but not full screen. I haven’t tried all my streaming services but it is all down to the iPhone software upgrade. In addition I use an Apple connector that allows the iPhone to charge at the same time as being connected to the HDMI cable and this no longer functions either.

Just wanted to confirm that I have the same problem. I’m really hoping a software update from either Apple or Amazon addresses this.

My hdmi doesnt work for Prime Video anymore. I get this message. I did get a new cable. It works on Netflix.

Grrr.. I bought 2 thinking I got a bad one before I realized that it was broken. Is the prime app broken or the adapter? Doubtful this will get fixed?
