How can I assign a channel strip fader to a physical controller fader?

Would like to be able to control the volume and other parameters of a single layer within a patch with more then one layer, from my midi controller during a live performance.

Midi controller assignment - channel strip selection I am sending a midi CC from an external device and reading it in logic to control a plugin parameter. Logic reads it fine and does what I'm looking for it to do. However, I am using the Channel Strip class and I want the action Logic takes to be on a specific Audio track, not the Selected Track. When I select Audio from the Channel Strip pop-up menu, it flips back to Selected Track. I have been able to achieve this in the past. I've tried this on another computer, with different hardware attached, and in a new project (though I realize Controller Assignment isn't project specific) and get the same result each time.

Trigger different MIDI channels from my master keyboard on a single track I've been using Logic Pro for a very long time, and in my setup I use the "Ski Switcher" plugin. I just updated my OS (15.5), and Logic along with it. I've noticed that when I open a song, after the very first "undo," MIDI stops working and the Ski Switcher keyboard freezes (I can no longer change channels). However, when I open a blank Logic autoload (with no configuration), I can use undo without any issues. So I’m concluding that Ski Switcher is no longer compatible... What alternative is there to trigger different MIDI channels from my master keyboard on a single track? Thanks in advance! Didier

logic pro I/O plugin is routing direct signal to Aux/Bus I have an external T.C electronic M1 effects unit hooked to my RME interface via SPDIF that comes in on channels 9-10 using the Logic I/O plugin. The issues is, I can not get 100 percent wet signal only to an Aux/bus. I'm reading that this is a known issue with the I/O plugin. I have no issues routing the wet only signal to an audio track to record just the effect, but if I want to monitor just the effect in real time, this does not seem possible which seems crazy because that's how traditional mixers work. I use a simple 88 key piano USB controller. My source input track in Logic is a piano instrument, with it's send set to pre-fader. The send routes to Aux/bus 1, which contains the I/O plugin that brings the external reverb into Aux/bus 1. If I turn the source track all the way down or it's output off, I should only be hearing 100% wet effect in Aux1 as my external reverb engine is set to 100% wet output. This is not the case, I'm still hearing direct signal. Again, this seems to be a known issues with the I/O plugin. Also the Direct/Wet slider in the I/O plugin only cuts the wet signal if you move it to the left (0), but setting it to the right 100% still introduces direct signal. You should be able to monitor just the wet signal on a Aux/bus without direct signal. And you can with the built in software plugins, but not external effects. Thankfully I can route Aux 1 output to Aux2 and then assign bus2 as an input to an audio track to record just the effect, but not being able to monitor an external effect in real time or playback seems unusual for a DAW

You need to go into Layout mode and put two faders on the canvas. Then assign each of them to your hardware fader. In Edit mode, you then map the faders on your strips to the faders on the canvas.

I'm not sure what you are referring to when you say "layer". It is possible to map a physical fader to more than one MainStage fader but, were you to move a mapped fader using the MainStage interface, then the other mapped fader would also move.

Perhaps you could explain in a bit more detail your issue?

You can layer more then one instrument (sound) when creating a patch by adding instrument channel strips.
