Basic attestation user sub ca1 certificate not trusted

I accidentally found in my MacBook that the user certificate of the basic certification sub ca1 is not trusted.

What does it mean?

Can I remove this certificate? If it is required for normal operation, how can I obtain a trusted certificate?

I'm afraid to simply set the value to "trust" without understanding what I'm dealing with.

Could this be a fake certificate that appeared in the Keychain Access, for example, when opening some mail message or installing some application?

The certificate is a valid Apple one.

Might try this...

Go on the Apple certificate page:

Apple PKI - Apple

Download the Apple Intermediate Certificates

Apple IST CA 2 - G1 Certificate (direct download)

Double click the downloaded certificate to install it in Keychain Access.

You should see it now, in login certificates.
