my old phone was just erased back to factory settings and is no longer on my list of trusted devices but in the top corner instead of SOS it has cellular bars so I assume it still has cellular access, How can I get is to SOS status?

If it still has cellular there is a SIM card in it. Please remove the SIM card to put it in SOS Mode

Thank you so much, now I have a new issue in that when I was trying to figure out the old issue (apple person told me I needn't worry about old sim so I forgot about it) on the erased phone I was looking for possible solutions and got to enter a passcode and I put it in. Please, you can think it but I already know.. Dumb, dumb... Now I can't get rid of it for the trade in? Why is it asking for it if its not even set up. How can I delete it without going through the whole set up?
