ios 17.4.1 issue with editor in photos

When I edit photos after updating to iOS 17.4.1, it will save the changes in the editor, but those changes do not carry over and are not visible when I view the edited photo in the carousel or the photos library. If I open the photo again in the editor, changes are saved and become visible again. Close it, and they go away. I’ve tried restarting my device and re-editing the photo - same issue. iPhone 14Pro.
