The Samsung Xpress C430W printer is supported by Apple's built-in AirPrint service when networked. There would be no need for any Samsung/HP drivers when using Airprint. Do not have a USB cable connected with AirPrint.

This is how I use my Samsung ML2955ND laser printer. In System Preferences : Printers & Scanners, locate the printer entry under Printers (if it exists), right-click and choose Reset printing system… That will remove the device and probably pop a new dialog showing the printer discovered by Apple's Bonjour service. You click that entry as in the following animation, the AirPrint service will be automatically configured, and then you click Add.

Hi,

In addition to the excellent advice provided by PRP_53 and VikingOSX, I would just like to mention that AirPrint works with wireless (Wi-Fi) or wired (Ethernet) network connections. This means that you could wire the C430W to one of the LAN ports of the Wi-Fi router, if there is a problem with the wireless connection printer to router. Ethernet may be more stable, and could let you avoid of some of the difficulties related to modern multi-band routers.

If AirPrint is not possible for some reason (for example, when using a direct Mac-to-printer USB cable), you would have to try the Samsung universal driver (via the download page suggested by PRP_53).

Thank you for the report. A few details may help.

Do you know that the printer is working? That is, has it been working earlier with this Mac (operating system version then?) or a Windows PC?

How is your printer connected now? A USB cable directly from the Mac? Or, is the C430W wirelessly connected to your home Wi-Fi network/router (or wired by Ethernet cable to one of the LAN ports of this router)?

Do you have access to an iPhone or iPad that could be used for a comparative C430W printing test (with a Wi-Fi router)?
