How to reinstall Chess app on my Macbook Air M1?

It's not responding anymore when I try to open it and then I just have to click ''Force Quit''.

I did restart my laptop already.

No difference.

Since it is installed as part of the Mac's operating system, I'm not sure it can be individually installed. Check the Apple App Store for a possible download. Otherwise, try doing a restart in the Safe Mode. (Hold down the shift key on startup.) This process may take several minutes to complete while the OS is repairing itself and cleaning its caches. Then restart normally and retest the app. This process often fixes a lot of problems.

Ronasara is correct. You can't uninstall it so you can't re-install it.

What happens if you try to open it from another user account?

Ronasara's suggestion for starting in Safe Mode is also a very good one.

I don't understand.

I just launched my Macbook in safe mode and opened the Chess app with no issues; it worked perfectly!

So, when I returned to normal mode, it ALSO WORKED AGAIN.

How is that possible?

I kept trying so many times yesterday, and it did not work.

Maybe it got fixed when I launched in safe mode?

I am so confused now because last night I even created a second account, and I still was unable to load the Chess app.

Anyway, thank you so much :)
