How to make an image to a QR code

Using the apple shortcuts app, I’m trying to make a QR code from an image, but every time I do that it just makes the QR code the file name instead of the actual image. I learned that the apple QR code is only meant for text, does anyone have a shortcut that can make it from an image?

Coolbee ~ Just one of your photos requires millions of pixels (MPs) to define the image. You cannot expect all that info to be re-encoded in a different format in a QR code.

...As Phil suggested, put your image in a location accessible via the internet, e.g. iCloud, and then use Shortcuts to generate a QR code of that image's URL.

When that QR code is scanned, ypur image will appear.

Not sure what you mean by make a QR code from an image. A QR code as you mention just translates to text. This text can be pretty much any type of text, including a URL than can then itself load an image if that's what you want, but the QR code cannot be made to produce an image when scanned.

The QR code itself can be saved as an image though.
