The physical Titanium Apple Card is a Mastercard credit card, and works just like any other card. It can be slid or inserted as required by the payment terminal.

It cannot be tapped for contactless payments, because it lacks the NFC chip due to its titanium metal construction.

Unlike other cards it should not ask for a pin number when swiped or inserted for chip reading, but if it does 0000 is said to work sometimes.

You earn double the Daily Cash back if you use Apple Pay and do not use the chip or swipe. Apple Pay (Tap-To-Pay) requires the use of your iPhone or Apple Watch.

You’ll notice your Apple Card does not display the Tap-To-Pay/NFC symbol. It’s impossible to put the NFC coil/antennae.

The Apple Support are I linked below explains how to use Apple Pay on your Apple devices.
