My Touch ID stopped working. I tried Youtube for help, no success using their suggestions, I tried Apple Support with no success. I changed my finger print with no success.
I do not know what to do???

Predicated on where this posting is appearing ( macOS Monterey ) for Apple Computers and user's byline " MacBook Pro 15″, OS X 10.11 "
Sounds like a hardware issue if Apple support was unable to resolve it.
You neglected to mention the exact model of the Mac (very important detail to leave out) which you can get by clicking the Apple menu and selecting "About this Mac".
If you have a 2018+ model with the T2 security chip or an M-series Mac, then you can try a DFU firmware Revive, but I would assume Apple support would have tried that option.
What did Apple say when you took your phone in and had it checked at the Genius Bar?
I have tried everything suggested to do to get my Toch ID to work again with no success, any ideas?
