Option to unlock Mac with Apple Watch isn't appearing.

Hi all,

I recently bought a new Apple Watch. I'm trying to set it up to unlock my other devices but the option isn't even there. My first watch automatically asked at setup if I wanted to be able to do this, however the option isn't even there now. All the devices have the newest version of their respective OS and I've tried signing in and out of the Apple IDs, turning on and off bluetooth and wifi and restarting all devices. Nothing seems to work. Any other suggestions?

Apple Watch SE, watchOS 10

I was trying to make a regular cell call (not FaceTime) from my iMac and it told me that it wasn't configured to do so. After I made the adjustment from my phone and signing into my appleid, a little birdie told me to check and voila, the option to unlock my iMac with my watch was there. Maybe you can try looking at that setting. Seems a lot of different things need to be in sync for this to work. I hope this helps someone.
