having difficulty connecting bluetooth to other devices with iPhone?

My Mazda CX-50 does not have SiriusXm radio, so I must use my Apple iPhone 12mini to connect to radio to use that app. Since installing IOS 17.4.1 on my iPhone, I have had difficulty pairing my phone with my car's entertainment system. It has been sometimes difficult or even unable to connect and very frustrating. Often, if I just return to my car after an extended period of time, the phone will automatically connect with SiriusXm or car play as it used to due very regularly BEFORE IOS 17.4.1 was updated.
