Turning off oncoming alarms

Imagine you have 3,4 alarms set for your mornings. When the first alarm goes off ios only allows you to stop that particular alarm and not the other ones. So what ends up happening is that even if I wake up on first alarm, the rest will still go off. It is extremely annoying when you are in a rush and your alarms are going off in the background for all the time you are getting ready. And you have to go to your phone each time to stop that particular alarm. And the only way you can turn off all of them is by turning them off completely which you don’t want to do because these are standard alarms and you would have to set them again sometime before next morning.

Is there a way to turn off oncoming alarms just for that particular morning? I know one of the android phones I used had this feature and it was super helpful. I could turn off oncoming alarms for that morning and without turning them off completely.

Hi Waqar,

As a not simple but maybe working solution, try looking into the default Apple app Shortcuts. I haven't tried for sure, but this may work:

1) Create there a shortcut (i.e. script) with actions Delete Alarm for all of these alarms in question.

Tie its execution at the Automation bottom tab to the event When my alarm is stopped – Wake-up Alarm. Or add its icon as one of the 4 maximum possible small circle widgets row at your Lock Screen and launch manually (to do this, go into the editing mode of the Lock Screen and drag to it a widget of the Shortcuts app from the proposed widgets gallery and right afterwards tap the added one – here you can select the required shortcut from your library and when you are at the Lock Screen in the morning it will be available in just one tap).

2) And create a shortcut with actions Add Alarm.

Schedule as an automation for 14:00, for example – when it will be later at the clock than these alarms time settings i.e. they will go off next time only tomorrow not today.

If you face difficulties when making the shortcut, try looking into the iOS Shortcuts subreddit, there is a lot of experience to quickly learn from.

Thanks, Yes I am aware of that but my question is different. What I am saying is that if I have woken up then I should have the ability to tell my phone to stop the other alarms from going off on the same morning. I still need them the next morning so I don’t want to turn them off now and turn them on again before next morning.
