The iMac is stuck on the apple logo (i used internet recovery to install macos by erasing the drive) and now it wont go into any recovery mode (tried every combination) does not go into the boot picker and no chime. Please help ASAP (I thought of making a usb from my macbook but it only goes to the apple logo)
Could be either, depending on the age of the computer (you failed to mention the model year) I can't recommend a repair or replacing the whole computer. What model year is it?
I forgot what size, either a 21 or 21.5 inch 2017 iMac with a Fusion Drive and 8GB of RAM.
If its a hard drive failure, could I replace it with a normal HDD?
(it was from a MacBook and is a normal HDD, not a fusion)

HDD or motherboard failure? This mac has a 1tb fusion drive.. If its a hard drive failiure, will a normal HDD work? It came from a old macbook I upgraded.
I think its a late 2017 but I forgot since the about isn’t there.
