How do i add more storage space to my phone

Once purchased it is not possible to add memory to an iPhone. If you low in memory, you need to delete things you need or use, which can include photos, music, apps, messages, email, files, etc. Don't be fooled into thinking if you buy more iCloud Storage, it will add space to your phone. It won't and can't.

Delete or offload content from it, or if you're trying to install an update, do it from a computer. An iPhone's internal storage isn't upgradable.

The one thing that iCloud can help with device storage is when you use iCloud Photo with the Optimized Storage setting. On my device, photos take of 665MB, but in iCloud the storage is 4.6GB. When using Optimized Storage, only low quality thumbnail photos are saved on your device until a more detailed photo is needed. You will not be able to add storage space to your device, but it can help make better use of the limited space you do have if you have a large photo library and currently not using Optimized Storage.
