iPhone 12 pro only charges with USB C to lightning, doesn't work with Original USB A to lightning cable

I'm able to charge my iPhone 12 Pro with a USB C to lightning cable but when I try using USB A cable it doesn't work. I'm using the Original cable provided by Apple and the same cable works with an iPad and it charges without any issues.

I tried cleaning the phones charge port with a brush and it still doesn't work. Not sure if this occurred after upgrading to iOS 17. Anyone has a similar issue? Its very frustrating since my car has a wired Carplay and only has USB-A for charging ports.

Yes. I updated my iphone to the latest iOS and now my iphone 13 Pro max no longer works with any USB-A official or not. Only works with USB-C. My old Iphone X works. Before I figured this out I had to buy a wireless USB charger pad. Apple wanted me to pay 600$ for store repair when it seems now to be software. If you ask apple they wont have an answer and will suggest buying more cables and a new iphone.
