Draft Email Disappeared While Correcting

This morning I wrote a fairly lengthy email. Hadn't quite finished, so saved to drafts. Decided I had a few more minutes, opened it up, started to correct and it disappeared! Can't find it anywhere -- drafts, trash, all mail. Help!!
