I updated my phone now it says error. I can’t make any calls and I can’t get any calls. What do I do?

Updated my phone and now I can’t make any calls or get any calls and I can’t text anybody who does not have a iPhone. It keeps saying error on my settings.

iPhone 12, iOS 17

Try and see if you need to install a carrier settings update

Make sure that your device is connected to Wi-Fi or a cellular network.
Tap Settings > General > About.
Follow the onscreen instructions to install your carrier update.
