Recover whatsapp …: don’t know password

I had to delete whatsapp from my iPhone. When I went to reinstall it’s asking for a password to recover but I don’t know the password. I have really important messages that on it and I can’t not restore it, if I hit skip will I lose all my messages?

Can I retrieve my WhatsApp chat using my iCloud or Apple ID password? Hello. Can someone please confirm that it is my Apple ID password which is the same as my iCloud password is the password I will use to restore my WhatsApp chats? I have been trying to restore but it keeps saying incorrect password on every attempt even though it is the password I have been using. I have now changed my Apple ID password which I assume is also my iCloud password(please correct me if I am wrong). Should I go ahead to input the new password? Hi. Whatsapp is not an Apple app, it would be better for you to contact the Whatsapp developer to ask your questions.

If you hit skip you won't have your 2 factor authentication password for whatsapp and you will lose all of your messages I am afraid
