iPad constantly dropping WiFi connection - 10th gen

Had a new "open box" 10th gen iPad delivered yesterday. It took forever through the setup with network issues, but it finally went through. Once set up, I noticed all the app downloads kept failing. I go to the settings and realize the wifi is connecting and dropping every two seconds, not an exaggeration. I can sit on the settings page and watch it move from connected to not connected every couple of seconds, and it will do it for hours on end.

Has anyone experienced this? I've never seen anything like it. I have reset the network settings on the iPad, as well as reset my router and nothing is fixing the issue. All other devices in my home are connected and working as they have been for years.

Given the steps already taken, as your iPad is new, you would be best advised to return the iPad to the retailer from which it was purchased for warranty exchange.

If purchased directly from Apple, in addition to your warranty, you have benefit of 14-days within which to unconditionally return an item for exchange or refund.
