Apple Music skipping like cd

I have Apple Music subscription on my iPhone. Songs have started skipping like a scratched CD. Initially it was only one song on one playlist (a Made for You curated playlist) but now it’s random songs throughout my library— old, new, doesn’t matter. I thought the issue was downloads but I’ve removed and redownloaded entire playlists and albums with no impact. Thought the issue was CarPlay, nope started happening with AirPods and when playing through the phone speaker. Overall, the skipping issue is worsening.

I have an iPhone 13 Pro. I’m running the latest iOS 17.4.1 but this issue has been occurring since the previous update too.
