Apple is charging me $10.99 for something that clearly says its $5.99. You see there’s enough for the purchase so why am i being charged more than the price shown.

At 01:06, the option to renew the Student plan is still available.
In that case, it looks like you clicked on the normal Apple Music subscription plan, instead of "Renew:$5.99"
