Adding a new contact crashes before I can add details (MacOS Sonoma 14.4.1)

When attempting to add a new contact card via Contacts app on MacBook Pro (latest OS), the card disapperas back to original list before I can add more than 1 or two fields and click done. I have seen this issue reported in the community a couple of years ago on older OS' and the suggestion was that having a google account sync'd was the root cause. I would have thought that a fix had been found by now? It would be easier to create new contacts that appear in WhatsApp groups, by creating a new contact on PC rather than by phone but this does not seem possible!

Short answer - Ask Google if they have fixed their Service to play niece when used on macOS

It is not the other way around

Apple has never, since I started back in 2003 , that Apple has tailored their Software to accommodate Other Third Party Services

On the constructive side

Take the computer Off - Line ( No Internet Connection )

Add your contact information

Does it work as expected ?
