Just was wondering, why when someone sent me a payment through Apple Pay but I did not get it in my account. But at the time it said I received it. Does anyone know where this might’ve went?

My daughter help me figure it out. I didn’t go in and transfer it to my checking account so the next time I use it it took it out first.
Might be a scam. Do you personally know the person that sent you funds?
