i broke my charging cable that I got with my iPhone 11. My friend lent me his iPad/airpod charging cable. It has the same length and looks the same like my iPhone 11 cable but is not working at all on my phone. What problem does it have and why isn’t it being compatible when I read on internet that it should be compatible

If their iPad charging cable is a USB-A or USB-C to Lightning one, is should work with your iPhone 11.
It may be possible that you have some type of debris lodged in the Lightning port on your iPhone that may be preventing your friend's cable from working. Alternately, they may have provided you with a faulty cable.
I thought there was debris too but then when I tried using my old cable it was still working. So it might have been a faulty one
