Kids phone displays “iPhone unavailable”

This usually happens when someone tried typing the password too many times, even after the security lockout screen that iOS has built in. This can only be fixed by resetting the device via Finder (on MacOS) or iTunes (on Windows or Linux).

Click here and follow the instructions. Restoring the iPhone requires plugging it into a computer with iTunes or Devices installed, or a Mac running Catalina or newer.

If there's an option to erase it, you can use that instead.

Hopefully, the phone was backed up.....before....the phone was taken in or service, because restoring the phone will erase the data on the phone.

If the phone was backed up, you can use the backup to reload the data back onto the phone, so the phone will look just like it did before it was taken in for service.
