macbook pro M3 top cover discoloration - Space Black
I got my MacBook back in November, and there have been no issues until now.
Today I picked up my MacBook Pro and I saw some reddish copper discoloration along the side where my ports are. I seriously don't know what happened, but the only reason I can think of is heat damage. I never do anything that would cause it to overheat to that extent.
I use my MacBook for school and I don't game. So I'm actually in disbelief. It is also only one region that is discolored. no discoloration under the MacBook or anywhere else. only along the side with the ports.
Does anyone know what I should do? or what happened? I still have the limited warranty, but would this be covered? (bc I'm pretty sure this counts as cosmetic damage, which isn't covered).
Yes there many complaints posted here about the " Space Black" and fading color changes to the case.
top case replacement would be considered hardware.
