Sort of. Create a second photo library, store that library in a restricted or password-protected place or on removable storage, and use that for the photos you do not want to share.

You could create a separate user account on your Mac with a separate password, where you can keep very confidential documents, data, and a second Photos Library with confidential photos.

It helps a lot to have two separate worlds in separate user accounts. This way we can be sure that we do not accidentally open an item as a search result that should not be shown in present company.
