Can't send photos as an attachment with email (ie not embedded)

Just today my iPhone stopped sending photos as attachments with an email. It only sends them embedded in the email which makes them almost impossible to print. How can I fix this?

What have you tried? The pictures are sent as attachments, but different email systems will show them differently-- some save them to the end and put them all together, others embed them in the text. On my Mac, when I control-click (or right click) on an embedded picture, it offers a menu that includes "Open Attachment" among others. On my phone, when I open an email embedded picture and choose share, it shows a menu that offers to print, among other things.

What would you like to do that's different than this?

Thanks for your reply Richard.

Very helpful.

I think its only a problem with emails I receive at work.

When the email is received from my iPhone, the pics are embedded in the body of the email and right click doesn't produce any options.

Makes it hard to print.

But when I send the same email from my iPhone to my home PC, they arrive as unopened jpegs attached to the email.

This is what I want to happen at work.

Might be a setting in my company, so I might need to as the tech folk there
