Belkin Lightning Audio + Charge RockStar Won't Play and Charge

I bought a brand new Belkin Lightning Audio + Charge RockStar 3.5 adapter for my Iphone 12 and it will not play audio while my phone charger is plugged into the adapter. If I unplug the charger, it will play audio on my car. If I plug in the charger, it will not play audio into my car and will only play through the speaker.

how do i use lightning cable to audio jack and charge my iphone i have a 2010 Hyundai and I'm keeping it. It works. But audio jack only connects via a lightning to audio jack for me to listen to Spotify. So there's no way to charge? What to do?
