You don’t.

Coverage expired means the warranty has expired, which makes sense considering that model was discontinued 4 1/2 years ago…

It is not possible to update that device beyond ios 15.

As Carol already replied, IOS 15.8.2 is as far as your 6s can be updated.

Your iPhone 6s cannot be updated to iOS 16. Its hardware is too old. To get iOS 16, you will need to buy a new or newer iPhone.
