mxSignPost end without a begin call, is a metric recorded?

What happens if you call mxSignpost with an "end" for some event name, but you never triggered a "begin" OSSignType for that same event name?

ex:

mxSignpost(.end, log: "log", name: "metric")

Does MetricKit disregard the call? Or is some metric still logged in MXMetricPayload?
