Recording my Roland V-Drum Sounds Through MIDI in Logic Pro

I have tried everything I know so far, but I'm looking to record my Roland TD-17 Module and V-drums and the sounds on the module through a MIDI signal in Logic Pro, that way I can separate the drums in the track and clean up everything. I know you can do this with keyboards that have their own library of sounds, but I can't get it to work with the drums. Disclaimer, I am getting a MIDI signal in Logic Pro when I hit the drums, I'm just getting no sound from the module itself, and I also hooked up the drums the same way I would have the keyboard, with an audio interface as well.
