Did Not Unpair Old Apple Watch

I did not realize that i needed to unpair my old apple watch from my iphone 11. I then got a new apple watch. I walked into my phone carrier store with my new apple watch and they paired it up to my iphone11. My sister came into town and i gave her my old watch to use. When she got back home she tried to pair it to her iphone but was having trouble. I gave her my apple id but regarding my password, i changed it several times since i originally paired the old apple watch to my iphone. Can she unpair it using my current passcode? Or is there a safer way of doing this?

If you already gave away your Apple Watch, you can erase and turn off Activation Lock from iCloud.com. Here's how:

  1. On a computer, go to Find My iPhone on iCloud.com and sign in with your Apple ID.
  2. Select All Devices, then click your Apple Watch.
  3. Click Erase Apple Watch. Select Next until the device is erased.
  4. Click the X button next to your Apple Watch.

Learn more about Activation Lock.

  1. For cellular models of Apple Watch, make sure that the previous owner removed and cancelled any active cellular plans.
