App rejected due to the used payment method

I have an app where the lawyers can find clients and leads on monthly and we are using stripe payment gateway to charge them a monthly fee. The application has been rejected as Apple forces to use in-App Purcahse.

There are several of other apps that offer a mothly subscription option from within the app using Apple Pay or direct card payment.

What should I do now as In-App purchase is something we dont want to use and like other businesses we would like to continue using the card based payment method.

The app doesn't fall under a reader app to distribute digital contents e.e. magazine, news, books, music etc among the users. We have implemented a monthly fee for the users to use the our app against listing their profile in the app.

If this is the case why such other apps offer similar monthly subscription model although they are not distibuting digital contents:

https://apps.apple.com/us/app/careem-rides-food-more/id592978487

https://apps.apple.com/us/app/noon-shopping-food-grocery/id1269038866

https://apps.apple.com/us/app/upwork-for-freelancers/id1446736499

The above few examples allows one type of users to pay a monthly fee and get free delivery. Or pay a monthly fee and get premium profile listing. Thats what we are doing and following the same model.

Can you please help me to understand what needs to be defined in our app Meta data or in the app settings to convince the developer suppor team.

Thanks

You do seem to be selling access to content (leads) outside of the app, though.

Otherwise, read through the Apple agreements (maybe with a lawyer?) and find where your business and payment model fits.

Otherwise, you’re likely going to be using in-app purchases.
