Markup 2 ios17, disable snap feature
Hi Apple community, long time iPhone user here. I use the photo editing feature Mark Up for my job on a daily basis. I rely on the editing to communicate with teammates and ask critical questions The new markup version on iOS 17 makes adding objects more cumbersome with the addition of an extra menu and objects to select from. The bigger issue for me is the snap to plane feature while working with straight line objects. I need to be able to draw lines close to a straight plane but slightly off, if that makes sense. I’m an interior carpenter, and I am often trying to convey small differences in photos with arrows and lines. The snap feature makes markup un usable for me. I hope that an update is released allowing users to turn off the snap feature for objects. Maybe there will be a mark up version 3 w/ iOS 18 with streamlined functionality for some of the basic features. If they add an option to add a favorite or most used object in a quick select menu item, that would be helpful. Its not all bad, some of the new features are nice. I like being able to change the line weight of objects quickly in the menu that pops up while working with objects. I hope Apple figure out how to streamline this part of Photos, while turning off some of the predictive functions, like snap to line. Thanks ya’ll :)
