Hi, so i just got a new M3 air and i just noticed that the pinch to zoom is not that great. It works only 50-65% of the time. Im just wondering if this is normal? Everything else still works and all the other gestures i use still works too. Just the pinch to zoom that iam a bit concerned. Anyone else experiencing this issue? Thanks. (macos sonoma 14.4)

Maybe you can adjust Trackpad settings first? Go to System Settings and find Trackpad. Here, you can check the settings for gestures. Ensure that the zoom and other gesture settings are enabled and configured according to your preference.
You can also test in different applications to see if the pinch-to-zoom issue occurs across different applications or just specific ones. Sometimes, particular apps might have issues with gesture recognition due to their own settings.
I'm having the same issue for years. It happens mostly while going bank and forth in illustrator. It's very frustrating.
