It seems like your printer can't be used from your Mac.
First of all, please check your Mac. You could try removing and re-adding the printer, or also reset the printer. Also, please make sure your Mac and the printer is on the same network.
If the printer is connected with a wire, check if the wire is connected firmly.
Checking the printer is also a good idea. Check for the indicator light of the printer, if the cable is connected, and also has enough ink and toner.
Additionally, try searching for the printer app your manufacture has released. It may solve the problem. I had the same issue, and when I installed the manufacture's printer app, everything was solved.
