Update OS X EL Capitan
I’m trying to update my current OS X El Capitan
version 10.11.6 to mac OS 10.13 or later but when I try to update it says no updates available. I cant update Google Chrome until my Mac OS is updated

Back up your data, check the application compatibility table, click here, and if your MacBook Air is a 2010 or newer model, then on the download link for a higher OS.
Catalina and above won't run 32-bit software and split the functions of iTunes up; if you choose one of them, use Go64 as well.
