When selecting to delete messages from my phone or iPad I see the message do you want to delete from all devices- I respond yes however the messages are not deleting from my MacBook air

Thank you I was able to locate more information on options and your comment is exactly the resolution to the issue. Mac was not enabled for iCloud. All good now!

I don’t believe you are stating the exact words shown.
If you happen to store your messages in iCloud, be certain your Mac has that setting enabled as well.
