Thank you. It is a blatant lie then by Apple. I find my self unsurprised. The Music subscription is cancelled now, along with the TV too. I cannot abide being manipulated and lied to, especially by corporations.

Yes blatant.

Because being able to select lossless implies, rather explicitly, that what I’ll be streaming is lossless. And downloading is lossless. Both of those mean, by any reasonable interpretation of the English used, that I can play lossless files.

Especially using their own AirPlay 2.

Connecting things by wire is a bit stone aged, and has been for a while.

Headphones are no good to me. I don’t like them.

I do have a pretty good hifi, about £7000 worth, which is easily capable of getting the best out of lossless files and it’s not at all difficult to tell the difference between that and 256 AAC, despite Apples disingenuous claim otherwise.

So, despite being an Apple fellow since the iPhone 2, this is my last fling with them.

Therefore on to Android and Qobuz.

Theres only so much patronising a man can take. And Apple have quite exceeded that now. 🤷‍♀️
