Compatibility Issue with Apple TV+: Works Only on Firefox web browser and not on my iPhone and Google Chrome

My Apple TV+ works fine on my laptop's Firefox browser, but doesn't seem to work on my iPhone. It displays a message saying that the streaming limit has been reached, even after logging out of the browser. I also tried to connect via Google Chrome on my laptop, but received the same error message as on my iPhone. I even tried disconnecting my account from all browsers and changing my Apple password, but to no avail. The service only seems to work on the Firefox browser.

iPhone 13, iOS 17

the streaming limit has been reached

Download and stream shows, movies, and events from Apple TV+, MLS Season Pass, and Apple TV channels - Apple Support

One Apple TV+ subscription allows you to enjoy 6 simultaneous streams. In case of Family Sharing, that is for all group members combined. That means a different group member can get ‘in the way’ for you to try streaming on any or multiple devices.

I don’t think it is about browsers or apps on devices per se. A password change wouldn’t have any influence on this.

even after logging out of the browser

You may have to wait a bit for the remote servers to get updated information on the number of simultaneous streams.

Else sign out centrally for other devices for a deeper reset. Check your Apple ID device list to find where you're signed in - Apple Support

If the issue persists after trying all that, then please contact Apple Support for further assistance.
