Importing fonts in BigSur

I have an Intel iMac running BigSur with several fonts I work with that I would like to move to an Intel MacBook Pro which is running a new install of BigSur. These fonts are in the Suitcase format; I have had them and used them for some time. I can export these fonts with the FontBook App, but am unable to open them on the MacBook Pro using the FontBook App. I vaguely remember Suitcases from my System9 days, and recall that I needed to use the Suitcase App to install them, something I no longer have and which wouldn't run on BigSur anyway. Since the fonts work fine on the iMac but not at all on the MacBook are there other files I need to move?
