how to get back the photos that i lost
i accidentally reseted my phone while trying to download an app. i pressed the lost phone button and it reseted all my data in my phone

If you didn't sync the photos with iCloud, nor have a backup from when you had the photos, when you reset your iPad, they would be gone an unretrievable. Backing up important data is vital, before something goes wrong.
If you did sync with iCloud, the photos would still be there. Open Settings > Tap your Name. Tap iCloud and make sure Photos are turned on. If they were synced with iCloud, they'll redownload to your iPhone.
If you didn't sync with iCloud, but you did routinely backup your iPhone. You can try to restore the phone from a backup made from before you had to reset your iPhone. But if when you restored your iPhone it was from the most recent backup and the photos aren't there, they'e most likely gone.
