Text scam involving asking friends for money through PayPal

Updated iPhone XR with scammers using text messaging pretending to be owner in order to access friends via Safari’s browser in order to directly ask them for

money.

Somehow scammers used info in my phone in order to see I was legitimately in the hospital. They pretended to be me and asked for money so I could be discharged. Same (or additional scammer) used my impending move out of my apartment to ask for money to help with moving. Since it made logical sense my friends sent scammers thousands of dollars.

Receive a lot of scam texts, this one is particularly freaky. Was there some kind of data leak at Apple? The scammers know I recently purchased an Apple product online and had it sent to my postal code, they also know my full name. Also, how do I report/block scam texts? I get them a lot and I block the phone number but they just send them from different numbers.

Was my iPhone hacked? Over the last month, I've been receiving weird charges from the Monopoly Go game. I've never purchased anything from them nor have I ever purchased anything in a game. Eventually, my card declined because whoever was doing this had racked up over $800 in charges from that game. I already reached out to Apple about this a couple of weeks ago but they declined my request. But here's where it gets even weirder, I finally got around to checking my email after putting it off for several weeks & I seen some emails from Paypal saying that money was being sent from my Paypal to someone in the Phillipines with the last name Sandoval. How is this even possible? I tried to do some researching & all I see are people talking about how their kids racked up charges in-app charges. But I don't let any of my kids use my phone, so that doesn't apply to me. I'm so confused!
