playing music using Apple TV

I cannot see Apple TV as a speaker option on my MacBook Air. All software is up to date and everything is on the same network. I have been struggling with this for 3 days now. Have reset Apple TV, the router and my Mac several times.

I use cross fade and an equaliser setting in Music app and cannot hear this using Peter's 2nd TV.

apple tv 4k and amazon prime sound problem - no surround sound on some programs Hi , I am having a problem with Amazon prime on a new Apple TV (only got it last this month) . The apple tv is using the most up to date software and I have re-installed the app. The issue is that when I watch some program (e.g. Wheel of time, Citadel) the sound on the Yamaha receiver (RX-V6A) change from Standard to Straight. I can hear that the quality of the sound is different as Straight is stereo and not surround sound. I don't have this problem with the the other apps (e.g.netflix, dinners, apple TV) just the Amazon app. Model A2737, tvOS 17.0, Video format 4k HDR (i am in australia), Audio format Auto, Atmos available Any suggestion to fix this issue?

surround sound rear speakers only I have my Apple TV 4K plugged into my 2023 Samsung 8k tv, and a Bose 900 smart sound bar into the earc port. When using the Apple TV app, I get Dolby atmos and it’s great. When using any 3rd party app (Disney/prime/Netflix) then it plays the main audio track out the rear speakers. I’ve reset Apple TV but no solution
