AK Authorization Remote View Message

Hi all, Trying to sign in to Apple Podcasts and my new macbook air keeps throwing up a message saying AKAuthorizationRemoteViewService and that I need to put in a password to allow entry. Looks a bit dodgy so trying to find out if it's a virus or scam please. It's a fairly new macbook so hope it's not a virus already. Thanks

This message typically appears when an application is requesting permission to access certain resources or perform specific actions on your Mac. In this case, it seems like Apple Podcasts is asking for permission to access something on your Mac.

It's unlikely to be a virus or scam, especially on a new MacBook. However, it's always a good idea to exercise caution. You can verify the authenticity of the prompt by ensuring that it originates from the Apple Podcasts app and that you're not being asked for sensitive information beyond your password.

If you're still unsure or uncomfortable, you can try a few things. First, ensure that your macOS is up to date by installing any available software updates. You can also check for any updates to the Apple Podcasts app itself.

Additionally, you can reach out to Official Apple Support for further assistance. They can help you verify the legitimacy of the prompt and provide guidance on how to proceed if needed.
